MINI fans may never own the firm’s electric version, but the new entry-level First is already a hit. The budget car accounts for nearly a quarter of the brand’s sales since its summer launch.
From July, 1,346 Firsts have been snapped up. That’s 24 per cent of the total figure of 5,726 MINI sales during the period. The car’s basic spec makes it the cheapest variant to date, with a starting price of only £10,950. In comparison, the One – previously the most affordable MINI – sold only 327 units in the same period.
