Jaguar top cars

You have listed and detailed all the jags except the S-Type. I have a 73,000 mile S-type 2.7 turbo diesel. It is the most amazing car. The fuel consumption is incredibel for a big car. On a recent 870 mile touring holiday in Britain mostly ob country roads we average 34.3 mpg;. We have acheived 43.6 mpg in a 240 mile run>it is a joy to drive in all conditions, quietly powerful and comfortable. my previous Jag an XJ40 Soveriegn does not compare in fuel consumption or running costs. So why did you exclude it ?

German badged cars

why can I predict every car comparison including a German badged car, It will alweays come out top ? They are not as relieble as the gadge leads one to believe, as your Driver Power Survey shows, They are extortionately expensive to service. A friend is quoted £350 for an intermediate Service. and £ 95 just to change the oil on a 2 liter diesel. the oil is not worth the £85 suggested. The same oil is availkable retail at £40. I know, I was involved in the Lubricants Industry fot 36 years. Also evey German car sold in Britain puts jobs in German car factories, Steel factories, Plastics facorties, Glass factories and parts maj kers. No wonder we are later coming out of recession
