Feast your eyes on the real star of the 2009 L.A Motor Show!
It may not have be the fastest, the most expensive, or even the newest car on display, but the Ford Fiesta drew gasps and cheers as Ford pulled the wraps off in front of a huge crowd.
What makes that even more amazing is that the British best seller had already been unveiled in front of 1000 people the night before.
To keep interest in the model high, Ford used the LA show to debut a number of limited edition models, including this one, clearly inspired by the firm's ultra high performance RS models.
Fitted with tuning parts from German aftermarker specialist H&R, the car gets sporty looking bonnet vents, lowered suspension, unique alloy wheels and an eye catching rear spoiler.
A Ford spokesperson at the event said that US buyers will have access to the parts - allowing them to cusomise their cars - thogh for the time being there is no plan for a high performance RS style edition.
This show model was powered by the same 1.6-litre 16 valve petrol engine fitted to the Zetec S.
Set to be built at a factory in Mexico, the new Fiesta goes on sale in the US in 2010.
