Hyundai’s Sonata has debuted in LA, but don’t get too used to the newcomer, the version in the picture is only going on sale in America and Asia, Europe is getting its own completely re-styled model.
And it won’t be called the Sonata either. The European version as well as new front and rear ends will be called the i40. It will also be set-up specifically to handle the more demanding European roads.
The engine line-up is still to be confirmed, but expect a impressive performers as well as plenty of frugal options too.
European sales of the i40 will start with an estate version late next year, while both saloon and hatch versions will go on sale in 2011.
