INFINITI’S luxury saloon is set to be sold in Europe for the first time. The M will join the range from next September and be made available with a choice of petrol or diesel V6 engines as bosses aim to lure potential buyers of Mercedes’ new E-Class and the upcoming BMW 5-Series. The Infiniti will feature a rear-drive layout with the engine mounted behind the front axle to optimise weight distribution.
The M will also get innovative features such as Blind Spot Intervention, which prevents it from being steered into the path of an overtaking vehicle. Prices will be announced nearer the car’s launch.
