American muscle cars are alive and kicking! The CTS-V Coupe is the latest offering from Cadillac - a lower, shorter and wider two-door version of the Jaguar XFR-rivalling CTS-V Saloon. And these are the first official images of the car, released before it breaks cover at the Detroit show next week.
Under the bulging bonnet is the same 6.2-litre supercharged V8 as the saloon - a detuned version of the Corvette ZR1's powerplant producing 548bhp and 747Nm of torque. That's enough power to propel the 2+2 coupe from 0-60mph in an Aston Martin DBS-crushing 3.9 seconds.

Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed auto with paddle-shift control. Both configurations send power to the rear wheels through a limited slip differential. Order the range-topping V-spec model and Cadillac will even throw in its two mode 'Magnetic Ride Control' adjustable dampers.
We'll have more details on the muscle-bound coupe once it's unveiled officially stateside, but expect prices to start from around £60,000 when it reaches UK showrooms.

Will it come in RHD?
Thought not
FAIL
So more than likely it will come in RHD.
Umm... they have them here already! I was driving one two years ago. And don't knock it until you drive it. The saloon was actually very nice to drive and jam packed with extras
Sorry to be a kill joy but in this day and age something with a 6 litre engine, and probably less than 10 mpg around town should be consigned to history. How much does fuel cost these days?
