New replacement for the Murcielago goes winter testing

Freeze – you've been caught! These images prove Lamborghini engineers are hard at work putting the finishing touches to a replacement for the Murcielago supercar.

Rumoured to revive the Jota badge, the newcomer has been spied undergoing winter testing in Scandinavia. Similar in size to the Murcielago but lighter thanks to a carbonfibre body that takes much of its inspiration from the Reventon, the new car will get a 700bhp direct-inject V12 engine.

As ever, power will go to all four wheels, with a choice of transmissions – either a six-speed manual or a new twin-clutch semi-automatic. Expect to see the newcomer at a major motor show this year.

Exciting or What?

Any Lambo is a major event in the world of the SuperCar...

Take it CO2 and MPG are not going to be a top priority then, and that the V12 probably wont be diesel then, with stop-start?

Thank Heavens!!!

Do I see a bit of Lambo homage to the 512TR in the side profile on this mule?

Is it electric?

If it's not, don't buy it!

Of course it's not electric. Fool. Haha

I wish all manufacturers paid as little attention to the worthless 'green vote' as Lambo do.
