Citroen's revamped 'DS' range looks set to welcome another member to the family. Following a succession of teaser pictures, Citroen has now completely revealed their new Geneva-bound concept car, known as the DS High Rider.
The three-door newcomer is a thinly disguised production model that will go head-to-head with the recently announced Nissan Juke. Thought to be labelled the 'DS4', the production car will gain another pair of doors and a set of more traditional alloys.
Underneath the skin, the new car uses the chassis from the all-new C4 hatchback, which goes on sale in the UK before the end of this year. As you can see, the DS4 gets the same kicked-up C-pillar as the current C4, while at the front is Citroen's bold double chevron grille complete with a DS badge.
Sales of the production model are likely to start in 2011. The final addition to the 'DS' range will be the DS5- based on the C5- which is expected to arrive later that year.

Once again looks nothing like you predicted pictures, proving again you guys are like the motoring equivalent of the daily sport!
Harsh! I stand by our efforts to inform about still secret models - even if predicting the exact look is difficult. Our story about the DS4 was written mid-2009, and confirmed the existence of an internal project to rival the Ford C-Max, and Renault Scenic. Our images preview the likely shape and size of the car, and help us illustrate an otherwise pictureless story. I still think its really important to keep you all up to date with what is being planned. How would you feel if you had bought a Citroen C4 Picasso, only to find this car is due in around 12 months time?
Twas a time I remember when Citroen produced EXCITING and futuristic cars like the Traction avant, DS & The CX, all way ahead of their time and fabulous to drive in comparison with the contemporary competition. What do they do now that is any different to any other manufacturer?

Never really liked Citroen's designs including the C - series but the ds4 has looks.
I think it looks great. I love 3-door versions of SUVs, they look so much better than 5-door ones. I love the wheels too and it looked great at the Geneva show.
