Porsche has expanded the Panamera line-up with a new entry-level V6 petrol engine, which will go on sale in the UK in June. The new 3.6-litre unit gets direct fuel injection and a stop-start system and produces 296bhp along with 400Nm of torque.
It will be available in both the rear-wheel drive Panamera and four-wheel drive Panamera 4 models, priced at £61,461 and £66,929 respectively. Both get Porsche's PDK double-clutch gearbox as standard.
The most economical engine in the range, the Panamera returns 30.4mpg on the combined cycle and emits 218g/km of CO2, while the Panamera 4 does 29.4 mpg and emits 225g/km respectively. Porsche claims the brand-new unit is approximately 30 kg lighter than the V8 units in the Panamera S and 4S.
Standard equipment includes steel suspension with xenon headlights, front and rear parking sensors, heated front seats, tyre
pressure monitoring, automatic dimming rear view mirrors, Porsche
Communication Management with touch-screen satellite navigation and
audio controls and cruise control. Options include variable dampers and full adaptive air suspension with 19-inch alloy wheels.

Less than 300bhp and having a V6, but costing £61500, (and thats without Porsche sense of humour options ticked) the Germans do have a sense of humour after-all...Lets just hope the British dont when it comes to buying this bilge!
Jaguar, Mercedes,BMW and even Lexus must all be laughing though with how VAG and Porsche think that badges sell cars and allow them to charge funny prices into the bargain!
P.S The car looks a bit of a pig-in-a-poke too!
P.P.S Why spend an even sillier £67000 on a 4wd version that adds even more weight to a car that doesnt need it in the first place?
another ugly Porsche..
What sort of numb nuts but these cars?
First of all I agree with the other commentators. This thing is beyond ugly. Yet I was at a car show in San Francisco and all the Porsche lovers were just drooling all over it. Amazing. I can think of better ways to spend my money ( Like maybe buying half of a house )
I can't help but think that they played that game where they have a number of different fronts of the car and number of different backs and then randomly selected one of each and actually manufacturerd it. Maybe the original concept car was showed to the management when reversed into a small space...
Looks like when you get the circus juggler front and gorilla back.. not good.
This car makes perfect sense if you want a 4 door Porsche but don't want an SUV. Think momies will love it. It's hard to argue about taste.... . Personally a Maseratti 4porto is the best looking in this cathegory...
