The tuning firm that makes AMG seem like amateurs, has struck again! Following on from its 'Black Baron' makeover to the E-Class saloon, Brabus has gone to work on the E-Class Coupe - and the results are astonishing.
Fitted with a hand-built twin-turbo 6.3-litre V12 engine, it packs 788bhp and a peak torque of 1,420Nm - although this has to be electronically limited to 1,100Nm to avoid destroying the five-speed automatic gearbox.
The performance figures are equally as astronomical. It reaches 62mph from a standstill in 3.7 seconds, 124mph in 9.9 seconds and hits a limited top speed of 217mph. Remove the limiter and Brabus claims 230mph is possible.
Fully adjustable suspension can be lowered and raised by up to 35 millimetres, while a high-performance limited-slip differential helps the car to deploy all that power on the exit of corners.
The all-black bodykit is crafted from carbon-fibre and, as is the rear diffuser and much of the trim in the luxurious cabin. But quality and performance like this doesn't come cheap. Prices start from £430,000.
