Bentley has been hard at work delicately chiselling the Continental GT into a sleeker shape and these are the pictures that prove it.

The facelifted GT has a modified front end with a more upright grille whilst the bumper has been reprofiled to include a wider air intake and now edges closer to the front wheels. The most striking change is the new, Mulsanne inspired LED headlights which now feature integrated headlamp washers, making for a sleeker look.

The defining crease which runs along the bottom of the doors now features a thick strip of chrome and the wing mirrors have been revised with more obvious LED indicators incorporated in them. New seven-spoke alloys also feature.

Under the bonnet, tweaks are likely to be made to the W12 engine to make it cleaner – the unit will be able to run on E85 bioethanol as per Bentley’s promise to make all its models biofuel friendly by 2012. Expect to see the facelifted Conti GT to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October.

The revised look is also set to feature on the Supersports version which we attempted to reach 200mph in. Did we succeed? Click to find out.
