F1-inspired special edition Coupe gets Monaco GP glamour

Renault Laguna Coupe Monaco GP

19th April 2010

THE spirit of Casino and La Rascasse embodied in a coupé? That’s what Renault is offering with this new Monaco GP special edition of its two-door Laguna.

Available with the 180bhp 2.0-litre dCi diesel engine, the high-spec variant comes decked out with pearl white metallic paint contrasted with a blacked-out roof and door mirrors, as well as a set of aggressive 18-inch satin black Interlagos alloys.

The special edition also features the all-wheel steering set-up – developed by RenaultSport Technologies – which comes as standard on GT models. This gives the Coupé the same turning circle as the smaller Clio hatch.

Tweaks to the interior include white Monaco GP badges embroidered into the leather seats, while sat-nav, Bluetooth and a BOSE sound system are all standard. It’s due in British showrooms in July, priced at £24,995 – but buyers will have to get in quick, as sales are only set to run until October.
