Temperatures are rising at Skoda – the Czech firm has released two new RS+-badged hot hatch concept cars.
Making their debut at the Wörthersee Tour in Austria, the striking models are based on the Fabia and Octavia vRS performance cars.
They’ve been designed by Skoda’s own stylists, and boast an eye-catching grey-on-green colour scheme, which is applied using self-adhesive sheets.
Special features on the Fabia RS+ include modified headlamps and a new radiator grille, a low black front splitter, rear diffuser and bonnet air vents. The interior gets sports seats, plus new materials in the same colours as the exterior.
The Octavia RS+ boasts similar black-tinted headlamps, integrated LED-based tail-lights, as well as new materials and colours in the interior.
As yet, there has been no word from the company on powerplants. But expect the Fabia to use the same 178bhp 1.4-litre TSI engine, and the Octavia the same 200bhp 2.0-litre TSI unit, as in the standard road cars.
While there are currently no plans to put the Fabia and Octavia RS+ models into production, future hot Skodas are expected to be influenced by their look.
The rest of the VW group also made an appearance at the show, click on the links below to see the concepts from Audi, VW, and SEAT.

So..
The company has released plans for 2 cars it dosnt plan to produce
And we can expect these non existent cars to have the same power plants as std road cars despite the fact that they are fantasy cars with no production plans...l
Am i missing something here ??
Well I don't know about anybody else but if these models are ever put into production or used to influence future Skoda style will they please not used that monstrous colour scheme. Yes it is eye catching but for all the wrong reasons
Paddy...
Just one question for you...
Do you truly expect a car reviewer to make sense?
Paddybarratt beat me to it! No, you're not missing anything here. It's a typical AE ill reasearced and unedited article. Plus ca change!
I agree! I hope they have a serious think about the colours before attempting to release this car. Looks like it was colour schemed by a chav.
Thanks Thornton, Paddy. Hopefully, your questions will have been answered by our updated story.
totally agree on the colour comments but if they sort that out this is going to be fantastic. I know one of my neighbours is looking at changing his old VRS.
You are all missing the funniest thing about this; enlarge photo 1 now note the bloke eyeing up the model... now look at his wife (maybe GF) she does not look impressed. Mind you she looks like a bulldog chewing on a thistle, so you can't blame him lol
Yes the colour scheme is vile but were it not for that these two cars would have gone unnoticed. So where is this updated story then Dan Strong2?
