Chevrolet will keep its starring role in the latest Transformers blockbuster. These two ‘autobots’ were seen filming pre-production work on set before main filming kicks off in a few weeks time.
Apparently the names of these ‘robots’ – cleverly disguised as Chevrolet’s Spark supermini - will be Skidz (green stripes) and Mudflap (orange stripes).
Skidz already appeared in Transformers 2, but has undergone a major remodelling, sprouting a big rear wing and a heavy-duty body kit. while Mudflap has transformed from the Traxx concept into a matching Chevy Spark.
Both Spark’s are heavily modified from the original cars, featuring big gloss black alloys with the autobot logo on the wheel hubs and twin-exhausts, alongside those eye-catching coloured racing stripes.
The black and yellow Camaro named ‘Bumblebee’ was an iconic part of the first two films, and one of the reasons for its massive popularity, and it looks like Chevrolet will continue stealing the limelight in Transformers 3.
