McLaren reveals MP4-12C dealers

If you have a spare £175,000 and are eager to spend it on a new McLaren MP4-12C then you now know exactly where to go!

McLaren has finalised its hand-picked independent dealer locations for their Ferrari-baiting supercar, with a third of the European showrooms based in the U.K.       
 
Birmingham, Manchester and London are the lucky cities that will be selling the 12C when it comes in spring next year. There will be 35  dealerships spread throughout the  rest of the world, with ten in North American cities like New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, and six in the Middle-East.   

McLaren has said that it received over 600 requests from dealers wishing to sell the new supercar, and that such is the global anticipation that over half of the 35 finalists will be building brand new flagship showrooms for the Woking based firm’s second road car, as well as any future models on the horizon.   

Although the car configurator technology was unveiled with much fan-fare earlier this year, there will be an official debut for the 12C this July at the Goodwood festival of speed with Formula One duo Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton in full attendance,

After the event the car will then embark on a ‘world tour’ to drum up sales interest, even though they have already had over 2,500 ‘expressions of intent’ to purchase on their website.   

McLaren have said that the USA, Germany and the U.K will be the biggest markets for the MP4-12C, with around half of the 1,000 cars being built in 2011 being sold in  Europe.
