BMW is raising the roof on its 6-Series, and we have the very latest pictures of the facelifted Convertible testing in Germany.

Spied here dressed in the now-familar BMW disguise, these pictures follow on from the recent spy-video we brought you of the upcoming version of the new 6.

The last of the Chris Bangle designed BMW's to go under the knife, the facelifted 6-Series gets a few subtle exterior modifications, to the nose, lights and and rear end.

While under the bonnet, expect the same range of engines that will be found in the new coupe. That means there should be a new 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 borrowed from the 7-Series range and produces 402bhp. A 3.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine will also be borrowed from the 7. he M6 model gets the 547bhp from the X5 and X6M cars and will sprint from 0-62mph in just over 4 seconds.

The standard 6-Series will go on sale in the middle of next year with the soft-top following shortly after and will start at around £65,000.
