Honda dealers to sell Mugen parts

Japanese tuner all set to sell performance parts for Civic Type-R.

One of Japan’s best-known tuning companies is heading to the UK.

Until now, if you wanted a Mugen-spec Honda, you had to buy one of the few limited-edition models. But that’s all set to change, after Honda announced that eight of its UK dealers have signed up to sell Mugen parts. These will be fitted at the dealers and are covered by a 12-month warranty.

Add-ons for the Civic Type R – initially the only car catered for – will range from a sports suspension kit, priced at £1,827 plus fitting, to an aluminium gearknob (£110). In the future, Mugen parts could also be available for the CR-Z and Jazz.
