There were no Nissans in the 1971 gangster movie Get Carter, but a belated role has come up for the new Juke. The crossover was the last car to drive around the Trinity Centre in Gateshead, the infamous multi-storey where a vengeful Michael Caine famously throws a victim to his death.
Nissan, which has a plant in nearby Sunderland, jumped at the chance to take on the car park before it’s demolished later this year. Employee and Get Carter fan Nigel Sidney said: “To be the last person to drive around the car park is something special.”
