So it’s no surprise that the ABT A1 has gained a number of enhancements aimed at making it a little bit quicker. Thanks to a custom remap, the power of the 1.2-litre TFSI petrol engine rises from 84bhp to 114bhp, while the larger 1.4-litre TFSI petrol unit goes from 121bhp to 148bhp.
The diesel powered A1 can also be given a tweak, with a maximum power of 121bhp available from the 1.6-litre unit. To compliment the extra power, ABT also fits lowered springs to the suspension and adds a new sports exhaust, and offers a full bodykit, comprising side skirts, splitters and wings.
ABT has also developed three colour-coded versions of the A1 (pictured) called Splash red, High Voltage black and Aloha white, and a set of larger alloys. The ABT tuning products will be available from selected Audi dealers.
