Flying in the face of the recession, Porsche has announced that it’s just built its 25,000th Panamera. The anniversary version of the luxury four-door coupe was a ruby red Panamera V6 that’s now on its way to a customer in the USA.
Speaking about the event, Porsche’s sales and marketing boss, Bernhard Maier, said, “The benchmark performance of our Panamera V6 models wins over our customers worldwide. Even in the USA, a country with a preference for V8 engines, they impress with their efficiency and sportiness.”
The Panamera is built at Porsche’s factory in Leipzig in Germany, alongside the Cayenne. It joined the Cayenne, 911 and Boxster/Cayman as Porsche’s fourth model line in September 2009, and the V6 variant was launched in May 2010.

Just shows what Clarkson and the muppets at Top Gear know about the automotive market!
How appalling. Proof at last that they CAN slap a Porsche badge on any dollop of steaming t**d and the retarded will still queue up to be over charged for it.
