When the 987bhp Bugatti Veyron blasted onto the scene in 2005, few would have lamented the car’s lack of power. But Bugatti sees things a little differently.
The French firm achieved a production car land speed record of 268mph this year with a thoroughly revised Super Sports Veyron which produced 1,184bhp. And now the firm has confirmed that the last 40 of the Veyron’s production run of 300 will be built to this configuration.
The first five production Super Sports versions use the same black and orange colour scheme as the world record car, and all five have already been sold.
The Super Sports models feature the same changes that allowed Bugatti to set a new world record. For full details, check out our gallery below.
