Lamborghini’s fantastic four-door is back! The Italian supercar maker has given its strongest hint yet that the Estoque saloon will make production.
The concept was launched at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, but plans to build it were shelved due to the recession. However, despite a fall in sales of 18 per cent last year, Lambo CEO Stephan Winkelmann has put the car back on the drawing board, saying: “a third model would fit Lamborghini very well, and a four-door car would be a very feasible approach”.
Porsche and Aston Martin have both launched luxury four-door saloons of their own, and Lamborghini feels the Estoque could provide “a real leap” in sales.
The concept features its own aluminium composite platform, plus the Gallardo LP560-4’s 5.2-litre V10 engine. That’s mounted at the front, giving a 55:45 weight distribution front to rear. The engine is likely to be tweaked in the production car, but as it stands delivers 560Nm and 500bhp.
A seven-speed double clutch sequential gearbox that sends power to all four wheels is likely, while the top speed could break 200mph. Inside and out, the car’s styling borrows heavily from the Reventón supercar, with an aircraft-style instrument display dominating a particularly racy interior.
According to the company, this would seat four adults comfortably. The car could go on sale in 2012 for around £150,000.

Well longer they get on with it. I like & love it. The Lamboghi 4 doore is hot & great.
what a stunning car, being that most of the running gear is German it will certainly be reliable but being Italian design it will look cool unlike the hideous 4door Porsche or the good looking yet predictable AM 4door .
