Hyundai's ix35 compact crossover SUV can now boast a full five star Euro NCAP rating. Watch the video to see how the ix35 behaves in an accident.

The industry recogonised tests consist of multiple angle crash testing with additional scores given for both adult and child occupants, an area where the ix35 scored an impressive 90% and 88% respectively.

Look out for the dramatic pole test, a true measure of a car's ability to withstand a side-on impact.

When we drove the ix35 earlier in the year we were impressed with it's solid build quality and interior space. Available in both two and four wheel drive, the 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine also comes with a useful 383Nm of torque.
