Aston ups the luxury of its flagship four-door with new high-spec options as standard.

Aston Martin has added a new spec level to its four-door Rapide. Called the Rapide Luxe, the car features a number of extra equipment and styling options as standard that usually reside on the options list.

Amongst the additions, Aston has added rear-seat entertainment, cooled seats, glass switches and 20-inch 20-spoke polished alloy wheels. But the highlight is a bespoke six-piece luggage set matched to the interior leather colour you choose with the car.

Sadly, the additions don’t come cheap. The Rapide currently starts at £144,950, while the Luxe model is on sale now at dealers for £157,445.

ON THE NOSE OPTIONS

Its not only Aston Martin that gets into it, but at the rarified prices you pay for these cars, it must be close to gouging to pay on top of a hefty basic price, options that surely should be included. If you dont need glass switches and flash wheels I guess an extra 13,000 pounds is okay for some red luggage.....NOT !!! Oh sorry, forgot you also get rear seat entertainment for that huge premium. Which should have been there in the first place???

No worries about extras

If you can afford this, the extras are nothing.
These Aston Martins are the most wonderful works of auto art a credit to the designers, Show me a far Eastern car with the looks, I don't see any.
