1. Issue 1,101 After years of speculation the smallest car in Audi's range – the A1 – was finally unveiled and got top billing on our cover. We also got together three of the most exciting new Aston's, including the million-pound One-77 and four-door Rapide. |

2. Issue 1,135 It was the rebirth of a legend in Issue 1,135 with Audi unveiling an all new Quattro concept that they admitted was almost production ready. The full extent of the ambitious Lotus plans was also revealed with exclusive images of the new Elan and Esprit. |

3. Issue 1,125 It wasn't until October 2010 that Lotus unveiled their ambitious plans for six new models, but we scooped the news early in August. Audi's sporty super-hatch A7 was also unveiled for the first time as well as Britain's best £14,000 cars. |

4. Issue 1,104 Jaguar's most important car of recent times was their 7-Series-rivalling XJ and we got behind the wheel towards the beginning of 2010. Stylish and luxurious the big cat didn't disappoint. We also bought you news of the all the stars from the Geneva Show |

5. Issue 1,137 We may have revealed the new Focus back in Issue 1,097 but it wasn't until 40 weeks later that we finally had our first ride in the new car. We'll be getting behind the wheel early in 2011 so keep an eye out for the full review |

6. Issue 1,113 Bentley's Phantom-rivalling Mulsanne was big news and we managed to get behind the wheel for the first time and deliver our verdict. It wasn't all luxury though, with Audi's most hardcore R8 ever– the GT– also finding its way on to the cover |

7. Issue 1,146 What a way to end the year, with the news that Jaguar are planning to build their very own 4x4 based on the Range Rover Evoque. We also had exclusive pictures of MINI's two door off-roader, the Paceman, and a look at Ferrari's plans for the future. |

8. Issue 1,126 Skoda walked off with one of the uK's most prestigious motoring prizes when the Yeti won our Car of the Year award. And the plaudits didn't end there – Skoda also won Best Crossover, Best Family Car, Best Estate Car and our Driver Power number one manufacturer. |

9. Issue 1,097 Ford started 2010 with a bang when it unveiled a third generation Focus at the Detroit Motor Show– and it took a starring role on our cover. Peugeot's SR1 coupé concept also featured as we revealed it ahead of its Geneva show debut |

10. Issue 1,106 We hit the tarmac in the Bentley Supersports in an attempt to top 200mph, running out of tarmac at a thrilling 176mph. Less racy, but no less important was our drive in Honda's CR-Z – the world's first performance hybrid. |

11. Issue 1,116 Our first drive of the prototype MINI Countryman made it a natural cover partner for our exclusive pictures of another Brit 4x4 – the baby Range Rover now known as the Evoque. We also tested the summer's best cabrios. |

12. Issue 1,134 Going to press a day late allowed us to print early news of Jaguar's jet-powered supercar and all the Paris Motor Show news. The Ferrari 458 also took home our Performance Car of the Year crown. |
