Perhaps the most disappointing modern day supercar. (for me)
Has too much of a just 'seen-it-all before' appearance to me...
This McLaren looks like a Gallardo/ R8 cross without being anything really new and exciting as a visual product and design statement.
The 458 Italia (which I dont think is actually a particularly pretty Ferrari car) is obviously CADCAM, but it is also distinctively Italian-looking CADCAM, whereas this McLaren just looks CADCAM regular...
Not a fan!
So far...
Its nothing special to look at, then again the project is headed by Ron Dennis who gets his gravel on his drive removed and washed once a year by contractors.
Sorry guys but McLaren have the know-how and experience to build a super car and this is the best they can do? There was more innovation in the McLaren F1 road car and this car is a step backwards and will never make a mark as a legendary McLaren like the F1, the Italia 458 is one of the cars that is too much for this car to compete with and other cars in this class are better and don't have such a high price tag, it seems like only die hard McLaren fans will like this car and buy it for it's name, I have owned a McLaren F1 GTR and driven this car along with others and the 458 and if I had to pick it wouldn't be this new McLaren, rosy again guys.
Sorry again guys but I have put my order in for a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Bicolore (2011), the price tag is slightly less due to the nice people at Lamborghini UK, this car has so much more to offer, I may have had an Italia 458 but all the reports of them catching on fire puts me off quite a bit.
