If you’re lucky enough to see your six numbers come up this weekend, you’re in for a wait if you fancy Lamborghini’s latest offering. Its new Aventador LP700-4 is already sold out for over a year, and that’s despite the fact that the firm isn’t due to start deliveries to customers until the summer.
In line with its famous logo, the firm is bullish about its prospects for the coming year. Alongside the new Aventador, the Gallardo range has been bolstered by the Spyder Performante, which joins the Superleggera, LP 560-4 coupé, Spyder and the LP 550-2 coupé.
In 2010, Lamborghini delivered a total of 1,302 cars to customers worldwide, down from 1,515 the previous year. However, the firm is expecting much better sales this year, as it predicts sales in its traditional markets of the US and Europe to recover from the recession.
The firm did see 150 per cent growth in China in 2010, so strong sales there are also expected.
