BMW might be king of the art cars, as last year's Jeff Koons designed M3 proved, but Volvo is getting in on the act too. In an experiment by Volvo Cars Switzerland, ten graffiti artists were given a white-washed S60 backed by a large blank canvas and told to get creative with the car.
Positioned in Zurich's main railway station, the project took five days and attracted the attention of more than 35,000 commuters. "Our intention with this art project was to express and emphasize in a creative and innovative way the design of the Volvo S60", says Anouk Poelmann, President of Volvo Cars Switzerland.
A camera was positioned infront of the car and took a shot every ten seconds, creating a three and a half minute time-lapse video of the different designs. You can see that footage above.
