Batmobile gets new lease of life

Auto Express drove the original Batmobile back in December – and here are some designs that hope to take Bruce Wayne’s personal transport far into the future!

Cardesignfetish.com has been running a competition to come up with a new Batmobile – with some jaw-dropping results. The winner was Paul Denton with his menacing purple-lit rendition, but we equally love Matt Gould’s sleek effort inspired by the original Adam West car we drove.

Also highly recommended was Leonardo Magana’s depiction seemingly influenced by Mazda’s now-defunct Nagare design language – as well as a witty interpretation of what Batman would have to drive were he to move from Gotham to Los Angeles.

As much as we’d like it to happen, don’t expect to see Christian Bale driving any of these models anytime soon.
