The third round of the Auto Express backed 2011 Dunlop British Touring Car Championship takes us to one of Britain's fastest race tracks.

The Thruxton based event is a firm favourite with fans and promises plenty of thrills and spills.

Once again, you can expect championship rivals Neal and Plato, but the big question is, can James Nash keep his Vauxhall Vectra ahead of the field to lead the championship for another weekend?

Thruxton's fast flowing bends are sure to favour the big Vauxhall...

Thruxton was the venue for last season’s opening weekend, and it was as intriguing as it was exciting.

Nobody expected much from 2009 champion Italian Fabrizio Giovanardi, who had been without a drive until a last minute deal was struck to bring back his Vauxhall Vectra.

But it was he who drove to victory in the first two races, and finished the weekend topping the championship table.

Despite the impressive performance, that was to be the end of Giovanardi’s season, though, as one of his main sponsors pulled the plug and left him without a car.
