Is this the ultimate rapid response vehicle? Mercedes has created a one-off version of the SLS, called the Emergency Medical concept, for the RETTmobil emergency services expo in Fulda, Germany.
Sporting red livery emblazoned with the word 'Notarzt', which translates as 'emergency doctor', the concept is also fitted with a flashing light bar and an overhauled interior with the latest communications technology.
Designed to draw attention to the firm's existing line-up of safety vehicles, the ultimate doctor's car features the same 563bhp 6.3-litre V8 under the hood, and sprints from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds.
It's not the first time an SLS has been modified for safety purposes either - the F1 safety car for this season and last is based on the AMG supercar. See pictures of that car here.
