After the leak of the official pictures BMW has finally released a video of its new M5 super salon completely undisguised. You can see its muscular body work in its fully glory and hear the growl from its new twin-turbo V8.
On sale in November for £73,040 M5 its 4.4-litre engine produces 552bhp and 680Nm of torque - that's 10 per cent more power and 30 per cent more torque than the outgoing car
Performance is predictably impressive - 0-62mph takes just 4.4 seconds, a tenth faster than the Mercedes E63 AMG Saloon, while 0-124mph takes 13 seconds and the top speed is limited to 155mph. Specify the M Driver's Package though and the limiter is lifted to 190mph.
See here for official pictures of the new M5.

Fantastic!!!
This is a great piece of engineering and to be fair it really looks the part. This blows the doors off the disaster which is the new 1 series
Nice to see BMW can still make cars.
Though im sure it wont stop a few people jealous of the brand making negative comments.
believe you will love it.

e39 m5 was a great car, this reminds me of that model. what a good looking m5, i like that alot.
Plus looks even better in that colour
This is a car that entertains like no other! No need for stupid shapes of LED's on the running lights to attract attention, no need for stupid shapes on the rear lights to make people look... A real drivers car...
Sits back with popcorn and a drink to await the jealous kids getting out of school!
Yep! I have an M5 on the drive.
But the question is...'is it "sexy" enough?' Does it have the looks to match the performance....my feeling (based on this)...is No. It's very subtle, and at a glance could be mistaken as another 5 series. I would hope that it would stand out more, but maybe that's not the intention. A bonnet bulge or vents may have done the trick.
The new 5 is a very sophisticated design. The new M5 has just enough subtle visual tweaks to make it a mature (not in just age) person's performance saloon. And, it is sure to be a performance champ.
Now, if only BMW can get their promotional videos in order. Stop playing that damn music in the background and let us hear that motor! They always spoil it!
