Cholmondeley Pageant of Power 2011

The crème de la crème of modern and classic supercars are preparing to throw down the gauntlet at the “Goodwood of the North”. The event is the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power, and we’ve managed to wrangle some fantastic ticket price discounts for Auto Express readers. 

Now in its fourth year, the Pageant will play host to the likes of the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder Performante, Ariel Atom V8 and Ferrari 458 GT3, as well as entrants from McLaren, Bentley, Porsche and Jaguar. They’ll all be competing to set the fastest time in a 1.2-mile sprint around the venue’s circuit.   

And they’ll face stiff competition from some of motor sport’s elder statesmen, too. A range of Grand Prix legends will take to the track – most notably a 1938 Auto Union Type C, and the Lotus 18 in which Sir Stirling Moss won the 1960 Monaco Grand Prix.  

There will be Le Mans giants like the Mercedes Benz 300SL ‘Gullwing’, Ferrari 250 GT SWB and the 2003 winning Bentley Speed 8. 

And if that’s not enough to whet your appetite, you can also catch a number of Group B era rally stars, including the fearsome 1983 Audi Quattro A2.
