The title of the world’s fastest, four-seat convertible now belongs to the Brabus 800 E V12, blasting the Bentley Continental GTC Speed off the top spot.
Using its V12 Bi-turbo engine, Mercedes tuning specialist Brabus has turned the Mercedes E-Class into a snarling 800bhp monster capable of 0-62mph in just 3.7 seconds, 124mph in less than 10 seconds and a top speed of 231mph.
But at £421,000 it costs more than seven times that of the standard range-topping E500 Cabriolet, which is priced at a relatively modest £56,245.
Sourced from the Mercedes S600, the huge 6.3-litre twelve-cylinder engine is tuned to produce 1,100 Nm torque, thanks to a new sports exhaust, performance camshafts, and a remapped ECU, while carbon-fibre aerodynamic body parts add to the aggressive look.
Interested? You had better be quick, Brabus are notorious for extremely short production runs – the E V12 Coupe was limited to just 10 – so expect a similar run of cabriolets to roll off the line.

Well the S-Class likely to have V8 twin Turbo. The V12 will only be used on Maybach & maybe AMG.
