Vauxhall has sprung a surprise by announcing that "an experimental vehicle which explores a new interpretation of driving fun" is set to bow at the Frankfurt show next month. Details are scarce, but the 'experimental' part suggests an electric or plug-in hybrid powertrain is likely.
Also making its debut will be the production version of the all-new seven-seat Zafira Tourer, and the sleek Astra GTC. You can read all about the Zafira here, and find out what happened when we drove a prototype of the Astra GTC.
As well as the three unveils, Vauxhall will be showing a full production version of the Ampera – the first plug-in hybrid vehicle from a mainstream manufacturer. A raft of new ecoFLEX models from a variety of model-lines will also be unveiled.
