New coupe will target efficiency as well as performance

Honda engineers have revealed that a car “built in the mould of the NSX” is in the works.

A planned successor to the lightweight supercar was due to launch last year, but was canned during the financial crisis.

Engineers stressed that a new NSX would focus on power-to-weight ratio rather than outright performance, to ensure better efficiency.
