Suzuki Swift Sport and Kizashi

Suzuki confirms pricing for its new Swift Sport, as well as full details of its Mondeo-rivalling Kizashi family car

19th December 2011

Suzuki has confirmed that its new Swift hot hatch will cost £13,500 when sales start in January. We drove the Swift Sport in October, and as we reported, its 136bhp 1.6-litre VVT four-cylinder petrol engine delivers 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds. Emissions and fuel economy have been improved, too: the car claims 44.1mpg and 147g/km.

The Kizashi Sport also debuts early in 2012. The new Ford Mondeo-rivalling family car will be limited to a run of 500. Power comes from a 176bhp 2.4-litre petrol engine, mated to a six-speed CVT automatic gearbox with a switchable four-wheel-drive system, which the Japanese company says gives a 0-62mph time of 8.8 seconds and a top speed of 127mph.

Equipment is generous – there are no optional extras – with buyers getting cruise control, heated electric seats and an electric sunroof for the £21,195 price.

New Suzuki's,

Two very interesting and attractive models from Suzuki here, and the Swift Sport looks fairly priced at £13.5k.

Good value for both

We all knew that the Swift is a veruy good car, reasonably priced and well equipped.
Kizashi for 21000 inclusive of 4wheel drive, auto gerabox, 170hp fully equipped and from what I know with very good driving characteristics and sporting looks and that's not a joke for the diesel lheads.
Just look at the specs/price and you will not find any other car even close to it.
As for the engine, yes it can be improved with the addition of a turbo smaller displacement variation or with a good diesel one but then so will the price to higher levels.
