Thunderbirds are go at the British Motor Show in May. Auto Express has learned that Ford's stand at Birmingham's NEC will be themed around the film, in which blue oval vehicles have a starring role.

Lady Penelope's outrageous pink six-wheeler will be there, and public days will see acrobatics displays. As we revealed in issue 785, the movie, based on Gerry Anderson's Sixties TV series, will be released this summer. A source told us: "Ford is talking to Universal Studios about marketing opportunities, including the Motor Show." Meanwhile, event organisers have confirmed the live-action arena will be called Motropolis, and is to feature a theatrical motoring event set in a futuristic city.
