Computer giant Microsoft has designed a satellite-navigation and entertainment system which is controlled by hands-free mobile-phone technology.

Drivers call a hotline for directions which are sent straight into the car for use by the driver. The service provides news of traffic jams and details on where to find the cheapest fuel. It also supplies MP3 music files for you to listen to. Microsoft is in talks with car makers about fitting the system.
