3D Camera Gets Parking In Focus

Boffins are perfecting a tiny 3D camera to help make parking safer. The device, developed by British firm Qinetiq, can alert the driver to kerbs, bollards, walls, pedestrians and other vehicles.

It is hoped that car makers could fit the camera - which costs ΂£30 - into light clusters. It could also help with lane detection when a vehicle is moving at speed.
