Driver Power 2004 Results

Honda's Jazz has been named Best Car in the 2004 Driver Power report - the biggest and most comprehensive UK reliability and satisfaction survey.

The multi-award-winning Japanese supermini beat all-comers for practicality, build quality, reliability and running costs. It also scored the highest overall satisfaction rating in the survey. A former Auto Express Car of the Year, it leapfrogged last year's winner - the Mazda 6 - to reach the top.

At the other end of the Driver Power Top 100, Peugeot's ageing 106 was voted your least favourite motor for the third year running. In the manufacturers' league table, Lexus remained the most reliable brand to own, with Skoda jumping four places to second and Porsche taking the bronze medal.

We asked you to rate your cars in 10 key areas by filling in the detailed questionnaire that appeared in the magazine and on our website in December and January. An amazing 37,000 of you replied - making 2004 the biggest Driver Power report to date.

Mike Askew, Auto Express associate editor and survey supremo, said: "Having the views of so many owners strengthens Driver Power's reputation as the most accurate satisfaction and reliability report around. Although it shows many car makers are improving their act, some are still failing their customers."
