Child Seat Safety Call

31st March 2004

Selling second-hand child car seats should be banned, according to the car insurance arm of Sainsbury's Bank. Research has revealed that at least 255,000 used seats were bought last year, yet it is impossible for parents to know if their purchase has been damaged in a crash. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents has backed the call.
