Panda Gives New Seicento Paws For Thought

Italian firm Fiat's attack on the small car market continues with this new version of the Seicento.

02nd April 2004

The pictures in this week's issue show the facelifted left-hand-drive variant, which has been treated to a restyled front end and new interior trim inspired by the model which has superseded the Seicento in the UK - the Panda.

Production of right-hand-drive Seicentos actually stopped last summer, and most of the remaining machines have now been sold. But the manufacturer is marketing this
latest version in the rest of Europe for the equivalent of ΂£5,000. Sadly for driving enthusiasts, the low-cost Sporting hot hatch has now been deleted from the line-up.
