Going Solo... On Three Wheels

24th May 2004

It looks like the result of a fling between an F1 car and a superbike, but the Sportcycle Solo is no mongrel - and the three-wheeler is road legal.

Capable of 180mph, the single-seater's racing cockpit is mated to a motorbike. It has one driven wheel at the back, plus two at the front. Simon Mackenzie of Corsham, Wiltshire, is selling the US idea here. "We'll adapt any bike to suit the chassis," he said. It costs ΂£11,700 plus the donor bike.
