The Sun Sets On Mustang's Home

Production has ended at Ford's oldest plant. A red convertible Mustang GT was the final car to roll off the line at the Dear-born factory in Michigan.

The site opened in 1918 and originally built boats for the US Govern-ment. In 1964, it became the home of the Mustang, with nearly seven million built there over the years.

The move comes only a few weeks after the axe fell on the oldest brand in America, GM-owned Oldsmobile.
