The S60 will get the same interior changes as the V70, while the chassis set-up of the performance-biased S60R will be available on lower-spec models, such as the T5 and the D5 SE. This option includes stiffer suspension, improved steering feel and a ride height that's lowered by 30mm. Pricewise, a limited number of models will cost the same, but the majority of S60s are set to carry an increase of around £500.
Meanwhile, Volvo has announced that S40 and V50 diesels which meet Euro IV emissions regulations are now available to order for summer delivery - replacing the models which were launched only a few months ago. The new engines feature a particulate filter, but the cost has risen by £300, while economy is down 1mpg to 49.6mpg. Performance is unchanged. Prices now start from £17,668 for the S40 and £18,913 for the V50.
