Is there a crisis looming in the motorbike industry? Figures for the first quarter of 2004 showed that, in nine of the 11 class sizes, sales were down. Mopeds and scooters, which traditionally appeal to car drivers, suffered the most with a 35 per cent drop. But the Motor Cycle Industry Association isn't concerned. An MCIA spokesman told us: "We expect sales during the second half of 2004 to exceed the same period last year."
