Cop Cams To Catch Tailgaters

Motorists who tailgate could soon be caught on camera. A machine that measures gaps between vehicles and records the registrations of cars that are too close, so the driver can be penalised, is being developed.

Meredydd Hughes, the Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police, said: "The motoring public has told us tailgating is one of the most dangerous forms of behaviour on the roads."
