Exact details aren't known, but it's likely to be based on the Ford EcoSport concept unveiled at Brazil's Sao Paulo Motor Show in October 2002. Matt black body cladding
and extended bumpers would feature, while roof rails will boost the 'lifestyle' image. The Fusion already has jacked-up suspension, so the ride height will remain unchanged.

The news is no surprise, given the Fusion's lacklustre UK sales. Industry sources say it would have made more sense for Ford to choose this look from the start, which would have given the firm a headstart in this booming market.
