Rover Celebrations

Several hundred Rover cars spanning 100 years will meet at Ragley Hall, near Stratford-upon-Avon, on Sunday 11 July 2004 to celebrate the marque's centenary.

One hundred years ago the first Rover prototype was announced, on 1 July 1904, with sales of the Rover 8hp commencing on 1 December.

The centenary event will involve examples of all Rover cars produced throughout the century with displays also including bicycles and motorcycles that bear the Rover identity. The event is organised by the Rover Sports Register, supported by MG Rover Group and individual Rover model clubs.
